Master Yoda's grammar

Has somebody mastered Master Yoda’s grammar yet? I’ve noticed that many of his sentences end on “has/have”, but not always. Please help.

Your friend, Google is. “Yoda Grammar” search for.

What you search for this is ? Hmmm ?

Pirate Yoda:
Booty give me, you will. Arrrrrr.

Interesting methinks it is.
Catchy become has it.

I’d say it’d probably be “Become catchy it has” or “Catchy has it become”. More the former than the latter.

:bravo: :bravo: Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!! :bravo: :bravo:

Object - Subject - Verb
(“Your father he is”.)

and

Verb Phrase - Subject - Auxiliary Verb
(“Lost a planet Obi-Wan has”.)
(“Help you I can.”)

But then, Sidious said “A powerful Sith you will become”. Was he taking grammar lessons from Yoda?

Very similar to the word order of Latin is Yoda’s, according to Fr. C., who me once Latin taught.

Perhaps we need a thread for Yodic wisdom! I vote we with: “Always in motion is the future” begin.

Yoda’s speech has impressed me since I saw him in the movie ( Revenge of the Sith). So classic is not his English grammar ? Antique it is, and more gravity the speech could deliver.

Didn’t his speech impress you in the other Star Wars movies?

You DID see the other movies before Revenge of the Sith, didn’t you? Tell me you did…please tell me you did…

Wow, he sortof sounds like Horatio from CSI…or should I say Horation is copying him!

Well, I did

not. Sorry if that breaks your heart. But I just can’t tell a lie. I started to get familiar with Star Wars this year.

Don’t worry. You haven’t missed a thing.

Yeah, I think Yoda is trying to teach people something about the universe through is inversion of the grammar.

Not as they seem, things are. mm.

No! That’s not true ! That’s impossible!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Try watching the original Star Wars, then waiting 28 years to see Revenge of the Sith!

Sounds like already a convert they are.
Yoda’s grammar, changed it has. Not so bad in Empire was it.
More formulaic now, it is.
Cos george’s mind, warped it is. Crazy he has become. But watch we will.
