McDonalds offers coffee refills for NT$16. Starbucks, no refills. Been Taiwan over 7 years, just figured this one out…
It goes without saying McDonalds brewed coffee is much better than Starbucks (blind taste tests and I agree), which is mostly undigestible.
I’ve never refilled the coffee, but I’d go for 7-11 coffee over McDonalds because at least you get an unsweetened ice coffee there. I avoid Starbucks wherever possible.
McDonald’s changed their iced coffee to unsweetened. They will ask you if you want them to squirt some sugar juice into it.
