Mega food or Food challenges: Where in TW?

I wonder if there are restaurants in TW that offer mega size meal or a food challenge. A mega dumpling? And where?

There is one spicy noddle shop that if you finish they will give you 500 nt.

The challenge for surviving any hotpot restaurant is no diarrhea.

You can easily make your own. Just order everything on the menu or five times the same dish and challenge yourself to eat it all.

Some challenges from 2024

The fun part is because you cook it yourself, it’s not really their fault  unless you drink the soup. Use the soup like a sauce, chemically rich it is…

Food challenges everywhere. Today was Monday, for example.

I’m not sure that “try to eat Taiwanese food without grimacing” was the type of food challenge that OP was asking about.

Despite my opinion that you are fully wrong on food here. I do genuinely laugh when I read you shitting on it.

That’s a good one :joy:

Back on point, I’ve had speed drinking contests here, usually beer. Reward being more beer.

Taiwan culture is all about cp value. I think this contest style wouldn’t work well. People are too cheap to risk losing that much in an industry that can be cut throat. Maybe a 711, McDonald’s type shit cheap food place that has massive logistics and factory slop behind it could manage such a sale of near expired food  also, maybe those all you can eat places that are chains/franchised. Be it BBQ, hotpot or pizza hut.

or perhaps various events/festivals.

Er, most of the restaurants in Kaohsiung are closed on Mondays. Just finding a place that’s willing to serve you food is a challenge. It isn’t a matter of opinion, that one’s a fact…

Aww, man. You ruined it for me. Much funnier thinking it’s a new week and trying hunt for food once again, on repeat. Nevermind I thought it was a different joke lol.

Well, that, too. It’s just harder on Mondays…

Just spotted this giant box of “Mukbang Challenge” ramen at 7.

My youngest daughter and her friend shared one of those in 7-11 before, even they were two they couldn’t finish it

To be fair, it’s hard to finish a regular instant noodle with all the chemical packs used up without having later issues
