Messy divorce (filed in different jurisdictions)

First off I live in Hualien.
Both me and my wife sent a divorce paper to two separate courts. She sent hers to the Taipei court and I sent mine to the Hualien court since I was told that since I live here to do it here.

What happens when two separate jurisdictions both get similar papers for a divorce? Will one court move faster than the other?

Depends where your arc (jfrv?) is registered and her household registration is registered. As a foreigner you are added to hers (assuming she is taiwanese) and thus i bet you need to follow her household registration district as you are registered there on her paperwork. Not sure, but that seems logical to me.

Might be different if you are on a work visa, aprc etc or you got yours in first, but i doubt it.

I would settle it and get it over with if i were you. Dont become another statistic here.
