Sometime recently, Forumosa’s favicon (the little logo graphic that shows next to the browser tab on top) disappeared - it’s just blank now. As I tend to have a couple of dozen tabs open at once on my browser, it’s become harder for me to find the Forumosa tab among other blank ones. Previously I could just look for the Forumosa favicon which is not there now. I assume it can be brought back easily.
Thank you for asking about this.
The .ICO file was missing (
I don’t know why -
I know, I should know why
) but the .GIF was still there. It should work now. It’s working for me
Working now, thanks.
While I have your attention, I see a “6000” number above the PM button for each post on the left. Does it have any meaning?
It was part of a test that isn’t working. 6000 is the ID for the “Forumosans Group” (i.e., everyone who can log-in). I was trying to put something there for people who are not in that group (like suspended Forumosans, particularly spammers).
I’m planning to relaunch the forums with a fresh install. The 6000 should disappear then
Btw, I’m using Chrome, and I do not see the 6000. I think that’s another part of the problem ![]()
I’m using Chrome and I can see the 6000.
me too.
And me.
I just thought this was another lost pet bird thread. Phew.

Wonder what happened to the dancing banana.
This is related to a change in how we have organized where the files are kept. They used to be in separate folders (droplets) in a Digital Ocean account and we are bringing them together (essentially). So this is related to the following:
It’s still there / seems to work again:
