It’s a little known fact that more people live in slavery today than at anytime in world history. But the mass media doesn’t really have a lot to say about it, though you do read the occasional story about trafficking women. Unfortunately, the problem is far larger than that.

I just read the article, and at this point I cannot think of a comment or perspective on this that would be of much interest to the group. The reason is that I suspect most of us are pretty much on the same page on this issue, and share the author’s disgust and condemnation of modern slavery.

Sudan is an infamous example, where the arab North trades the african South like goods.
And several arabial countries have slavery. I think it was Dubai which just abolished the camel race jockeys, who were slaves. Strangely, they use little robots now, was posted somewhere else here.
But, they did not abolish slavery in general.
