More spam emails since change to forumosa?

It might be pure coincidence. But since last week, I’ve been getting loads of spam emails on an email address that I used to quote in my earliest Segue posts. I just edited all those posts. And as that email address is more of a back-up that I hardly use nowadays, it’s no big thing.

But I was wondering if other posters also felt that their amount of spam emails had risen since the change?

Websites are one place that spammers get email addresses from so it is very likely, if you make your email address shown somewhere as public as a website, I’m afraid it’s just asking for trouble… that’s why you sometimes see email addresses in the format “iris at yahoo dot com” or other tricks so it doesn’t look like an address to the bots.
