Morocco Earthquake of 2023

The only reason other countries would help in a war is because of their own interests not sympathy. You think America and Japan have been allies because they like Taiwan? Give me a break. They are allies because they have their own interests to protect.

What do we get out of helping Morocco? Nothing. Which is fine if they are nice to us, but they aren’t, so why bother?

Yet many of them allow Taiwanese nationals visa free access including the US, Canada, Schengen Area, the UK etc. etc. etc. But somehow poor af countries like Morocco and Mexico need our financial proof to apply for a visa.

That’s completely irrelevant.

Even more irrelevant. Visa free access means Singaporeans can visit Morocco without a visa. What does that have to do with Singapore being a trading hub?

Except it DOES make Morocco hostile. You know nationals of which rich country is not allowed to travel to a bunch of Islamic countries? Israel. And why is that?

Helping Japan after their earthquake = good investments, and Japan is generally friendly.

Helping a Chinese ally after their earthquake = a waste of money and time.

Btw Mother Teresa was a complete bitch.

No it doesn’t. Read again many many many times the above and maybe you will understand

As said, a great kiss superiors ass and school yard bully, throwing in talking bad about a dead person completes for the win

Luckily not all thought like you when Taiwan was poor

I give up, my last post on this, let’s all hope our dear friend Mr Gain doesn’t ever need help from anybody as only poor and weak people should help him

This has nothing to do weakness or poverty. Many countries of the global south are Chinese allies and therefore extremely hostile to Taiwan. We should not waste our money on them.

Or earthquakes

Or you could exercise some self control. You had time to practice.

The quake was Morocco’s strongest on record and the deadliest to hit the North African country since a 1960 earthquake destroyed Agadir on the Atlantic coast, killing between 12,000 and 15,000 people.

Overall, at least 2,862 people have died and more than 2,500 been injured in the latest tragedy, according to an official toll issued late Monday.

Morocco has allowed rescue teams to come to its aid from Spain, Britain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates but so far declined offers from several other nations, including the United States and Israel.

From the sound of it, they can’t handle the logistics as it is.

Or playing politics. Why isn’t France involved?

The more I read, the government of Morocco does seem like a bit of a jackass, one abetted by the US including by a certain former president of the US making concessions to get a deal. This is quite the read—and Morocco does not come out looking especially good . . .

I think it’s more of those in power do not have the infrastructure, equipment or expertise and would rather people not know. Poor, reactive nations are like that.

It might also explain the rejection of French aid.

The ego is quite fragile.

Being King ain’t a day job. Those guys are on a different timeline.

The king was reportedly hanging around in France when the earthquake hit.

That’s the other thing. More often than not the donation to the global south ends up in their horrendous leadership/elite’s pocket. The money not only doesn’t help any real victims, you are basically giving money to politicians in bed with China.

So, fuck anyone who works with China. Gotcha. Those buried under buildings. Fuck them. The starving. Fuck them too. Why, because some guy thinks CHINA is bad.

Alternatively, just donate your own damn money to a proven aid group.
