my Youtube defaults to Chinese …how can I change back to English?
Right at the bottom of the page, left. When you scroll past the video section and privacy policy stuff.
It says current location: Taiwan. Change that. It will default to Chinese again next time though, usually.
Still has Chinese writing at the top of the page?
Did you set both the current language and current location options? The bottom of your Youtube page should show this:
Current Location: Worldwide [color=#0000FF]Show locations[/color]
Current Language: English [color=#0000FF]Show languages[/color]
By the way, for those who have their browsers set to automatically clear all cookies on close and don’t want the Google homepage to automatically default to Chinese everytime, set your homepage bookmark to http://www.google.com/ncr works on smartphones too.
