N+1: Bike fancying

On behalf of my people, thank you for normalizing bike hoarding.

As one of my friends says to his wife, “Honey, just be happy I don’t collect and restore classic cars!”

No more complaints for a year.

Yeah, so my user name…:sweat_smile: five volvos in three years.

Reading you guys makes me jealous. When I was young and wild I wanted to have one of each type: a hard tail, a FS/dh machine, a road bike, a proper BMX, etc…

Nowadays I would be happy if I could restore or update one of those classic Giant bikes that you can find mostly in the south. Weirdly enough, that’s the product on Ruten that has put on my way the most frustrating sellers ever. I had heard before that ruten was ng because sellers were “racist” or “xenophobic” and wouldn’t sell to foreigners (this reminds me of certain other thread…), but that never happened to me until I tried to buy old bikes or frames.

However since I live in a cozy to small shoebox I shouldn’t really host another bike; the only one I have is already party blocking the way to the balcony!

But a man can dream. Can dream of smoking those brats in shiny futuristic plastic made machines on his true metal mechanical, all cables out steampunk jewel!

Ok, that coffee was a tad strong.

I had 5 cars at one time! All working and legal, single man!
I’ve got bad urge to get a town bike self build WHY ubike is fine and cheap.
I build another bike be the start of no end.

Found some credit card debt with your name on it.

De Rosa Titanio

You got me with the rim brakes and mechanical Campag drivetrain. I just can’t wrap my head around De Rosa. I’m not one for .

Any particular reason?

I’m kind of the same, their bikes felt kind of cheap and cheesy for a good while. The more recent ones have a nice design and the logo isn’t too ostentatious which put them back on the coveted “ooo” list, however not for the price they are asking (ironically).
