Suffering badly from withdrawal symptoms!

If that auction link doesn’t do ya, PM me and I’ll dig up the supplier for our office.

But but, I might, you know, like, RUN OUT! Then what? Huh? Huh?

Actually, I am already sweating bullets waiting for our craptastic electrician to get a 220V supply in my kitchen.

We are also addicts of Nespresso. You can get your fix here: greatlong.com.tw/nespresso/club/club.htm

If you call the number on the bottom of website, you can get English service.

Nespresso, isn’t that liquid coffee soap in a tiny capsule … trying to pass for coffee?

No, it’s pre-ground coffee in tiny non-environmentally-friendly, overpriced capsules, containing much less coffee than I’d pack into one shot in an espresso machine. But that’s besides the point, which is where to find them.

Sorry to raise an old thread, but where can you buy a Nespresso machine and capsules/pods in Taipei? Thanks

I bought mine in Q Square on the 4th floor. I saw them today at the Hola in Shi Lin. They also have a store in the Xin Yi Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store A11. Sogo and Miramar sell them too.

Come on, guys. Taipei is loaded with world class cafes, and good takeaway is available on every block. Nespresso?

Yeah, yeah, the heart wants what it wants. But I am still going to shame you for choosing a loser caffeine fix.

True, true. But, it’s nice to be able to make a quick, no mess cup of coffee when it’s wet and colder than a mofo outside.

Not to mention that it’s pretty easy to make coffee economically at home.

Aeropress + Porlex + delicious, fresh, whole-bean coffee = coffee problem solved.

There was a good write-up on the BBC website today. It’s especially timely since there was a lot of environmental concern and hoopla surrounding the COP21/Paris Agreement.

Highlights:
“These portion packs cause unnecessary resource consumption and waste generation, and often contain polluting aluminium,” the report says.

“The capsules can’t be recycled easily because they are often made of a mixture of plastic and aluminium,” adds Jan Dube, spokesman of the Hamburg Department of the Environment and Energy.
(Bold added.)

These coffee capsules look strange for me. And even the inventor regrets what he has done.
