Asus ZenBook UX305 on Windows 8
Is anybody able to help with this please?

Also using MS Outlook 2013 on a ZenBook UX305F, but on Windows 10. No problems here. I’ve sent and received close to a dozen emails this morning with now issues.

Have you also tried to access your email thru fix outlook service?
Or have you tried repair function? In Outlook, choose Tools > Account Settings.
On the Email tab, choose your account (profile), and then choose Repair.
Follow the prompts in the wizard, and when you’re done, restart Outlook.

While this will, in most cases fix your Outlook, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be temporary. The outlook PST fix tool will fix a PST/OST but will end up dieing shortly after in 95% of cases.

If you have a corrupt PST/OST, the best fix is to simply delete the profile and re-create it, takes all of 2 minutes and provides a fresh PST/OST for outlook to cache your emails in.

When your PST/OST corrupts again; Control Panel > Mail > Mail Profiles > Delete + Ok > Add - setup your email + Ok. Open outlook, let it all download again and your good to go.
