New code for dream tv

I will call to make sure that he can do it. We hope to say welcome back the the ROC soon.
Geez, thanks for the offer! Much more than I was expecting or trying to hint for! Just making comments without sounding as distraught as most!
I plan on being back about the middle of September
if all goes right!

Ray, I’m not quite sure why you’re scrolling down to number 19. Making hard work about it. Once you’ve got nagravision on, you can hit the green ‘add’ button directly below the EPG one.

Hi Ray, I called your home number and no answer and you cell phone was off. My hubby sorta really busy asks me to call you

Call me if you want to hear my sexy voice instructions.

Hopefully software will be trialed today

My goodness Ray, don’t be looking at that avatar at the same time or you’ll get the numbers wrong for sure. :stuck_out_tongue:

I can’t get my reciver to accept the new codes. When I tried again all the codes were erased. :noway: Did I screw something up?

   Woohoo! The new afternoon code brought everything back to normal.

Now, I sit here broken hearted
cable sucked really farted
so paid $6000 for satellite new
now both me and my screen are blue.

Pressed the fucking numbers above
till the remote I’d like to softly shove
where the Taiwan sun don’t ever shine
cause it’s no damn good at this time.

Sorry if my poem has rambled
but my channels are always scrammbled,
if these damn codes worked like they oughtta
I’d see New Orleans under lots of water.

Pissed (not drunk) in Hsinchu.
:fume:

Tried to call you with new codes but your phone says cut off

you’d better email me if you have a new number os cell phone numbers

What is the situation?

The new software will hopefully be.

New Codes will now be updated about 2 mins after a change as my hubby has now worked his magic to pull codes out of thin air

This is very annoying when you buy a system out of good faith from Jim and you have to keep entering the codes or paying money to send it back and forth to Jim to get software updates.

I for one have done the software updates twice already and don’t see why i should be wasting my time in getting it updated a third time.

I’d rather sell the package to anyone who would give me a decent price instead of continually getting software updates many times a year

Taiwan2k2 :frowning:

If you don’t want your receiver I will buy it from you as I have people who would like to purchase a 2nd hand decoder to add to their existing decoder.

Most people came home from work and had to enter 2 keys and that’s been it for the day. The last key today was at 5pm and your post is at 7:30pm. All the keys were posted within 2 minutes of a code change today.

You should be happy that I provide a free upgrade service and not charge for it, as would other companies. I cannot simply drive to visit customers houses to do upgrades unless your willing to pay me to do so.

The warranty covers all hardware, which I assume is working. Software upgrades are free and are covered in the word doc which I send every customer before installing. I do have replaced switches LNB’s replaced free of charge, as is covered in the first 12 months warranty period.

Any 2nd hand decoder purchased thru me will also have 12 months of warranty as long as it is in good condition.

We all know we are getting a free signal because the satellite happens to overlap Taiwan and Satellite TV happens to have a decoder that works and we happen to want one and that there will be some hiccups.

I would like to hear of any better solutions to this problem though. Do people who have a legitimate decoder in the Phillipines have to get a new card each time this happens or does their software cope okay?

If they don’t have to get a new card then why do we need new software updates?

I have a legit system and card from the Phillipines. I used it for a few years before Jim started offering his systems. You have to pay a yearly fee and never, ever have any software problems. If you want I can sell it to you for next to nothing as I now use Jim’s systems, I no longer use this one, although I am thinking of just paying the yearly fee myself as these outages suck. If you have a mission critical system like a sports bar, I suggest you purchase my system. It would be a drop in to Jim’s setup, meaning you do not need a new dish or wires etc. The price for the yearly card renewels is between NT$9,000 and NT$3500 depending on if you reload in Taiwan of the Phillipines and depending on your package. For that price, you will never have any more scrambled channels.

I will be offline for a few hours today as power in my town will be cut off so that power lines can be serviced.

I have asked a friend to access my acount and post the keys as required.

PS Hobart
can’t use the decoder together with DSTV & UBC. The Nokia cannot accept pay cards for other providers. Many people have DSTV and Dream TV together from one decoder.

Some bars have one pay card and multiple decoders so they can watch more than one channel at the same time. Many people just don’t like paying 10k, 20k, or 35k a year in card fees to access pay satellite tv.

Hey Aboriginal Girl: Don’t be too worried about me hurting your business, I only have one REAL Dream Decoder and card. But you are right in all fairness, the Dream Sat. TV decoder only takes one card, the Dream Sat. Card which I have. You still use Jim’s decoder for any other systems. By the way, you are able to still use the feed from the Dram sat. Dish and use this legitimate Dream Decoder that I am selling.

I think I should buy it from you
after all you bought 3 of my decoders for yourself plus one more for your neighbour lol

Regards

Jim

Taiwan2k2 :frowning:
How much do you want for your decoder? I’m interested in putting a second decoder upstairs where I already have a line. Seriously, if you want to sell it because it’s too troublesome, I’ll take it.

taiwan2K2, you’re inconvenienced for about a week, generally. Is it that bad? Fair go mate, and it’s your very first forumosa post too! Having a go at someone who provides a service specifically to the foreign community. Read back and find out why Hobart canned his Taiwanese Satellite provider and got Jim. You might learn something. On that, I remember the last time the software went I was pretty pissed because Sunday footy was about begin at 10:45 pm. I called Jim to ask what was going on. He was in Neihu or someplace out woop woop doing a job. He traveled all the way from there on MRT to my door mind you, in Yungho, just to replace my decoder with one that already had the software update. He knows what I want - Aussie Footy FULL STOP. Now that is customer service. Second to none.
