NEW ICRT song playlist

Instead of talking about making it better, list the songs here that you’d like to hear played.
When the list is large enough, someone at ICRT will take notice.
Remember, they have a thing for 1980s music.

Reap the Wild Wind – Ultravox
Almost with You – The Church
Bluebird – Paul McCartney

Anything by Michael Bolton. He’s a dreamboat.

Killing Joke _love Like Blood
Midnight Oil _the power and the passion
split enz _I see red
Joy Division _Love Will Tear Us Apart (I’ve actually heard them play this one).
Iron Maiden_Murders in the rue morgue

I’d be a more regular ICRT listener if I could decode what Rick Monday is saying when he speaks English. Actually I probably wouldn’t. The comprehensible DJs tend to play music I kind only really imagine enjoying if you’ve spent half your lifetime in a bushiban. (target audience?)

They should also have Kenny G weeks – that would be simply divine!

Air Supply
Bryan Adams
Kenny Loggins
John Tesh

Upon further reflection I must add Blake Shelton to the list

Just a few that might be nice.

I wouldn’t mind them playing “Uptown Girl” 24/7…now thats magical!

“I’m all out of love, la la la la la la…”
There isn’t a chance in hell that ICRT would play the music I like, nor would I expect them to, except maybe for Bill Thissen and DJ Rapier.
More news is what I want.

Unfortunately, the ICRT giant throbbing brains say that no one books ads because of news.

I remember a time when these two songs were played every 30 minutes (or so it seemed) and I haven’t heard them in years (add In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly).

Stairway to Heaven – Led-Zeppelin
Nights In White Satin – Moody Blues

The poem at the end [of Nights In White Satin] was recorded separately. It is called Late Lament and was written by their drummer, Graeme Edge. The poem was read by keyboard player Mike Pinder. Edge wrote another poem that appeared early on the album called Morning Glory.
Late Lament
Breathe deep the gathering gloom,
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day’s useless energy is spent.
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one;
Lonely man cries for love and has none;
New mother picks up and suckles her son;
Senior citizens wish they were young.

Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight,
Red is grey and yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion.
