Thanks for the input, I also emailed TECO to make sure. These were the questions I asked and the responses I received. I don’t understand why they want me to put my Uncle’s address as this step is BEFORE I go to the HHR office to establish Household Registration. It’s uncertain if my Uncle can add me to his household - if not, I’d have to find a lease just to establish my own HHR.
1. For the address (設籍 地址), do I list my father’s old Taiwan registered address, or my USA address? The other option is my uncle’s Taiwan address (he will be adding me to his Household Registration)
Please fill in Uncle’s household registration address. Additionally, please have Uncle handwrite on the photocopy of the household registration transcript: “I, [Uncle’s Name], agree to have [Your Name] registered in my household,” followed by his signature and the date. Email it to you, and you will print it out. “本人XXX同意XXX設籍在我的戶籍裡, 簽名/日期.”
2. For the dependent (依親 對象), do I list my father’s information even though I am not financially dependent on him? Since I am applying using his documents I’m not sure if I need to fill this out.
For the ‘Dependent Relative’ section (依親對象), fill in your father’s information.
