Tempo is right, confirmed its not for your bog standard English teachers

It is for foreign labour with less than a 6 month contact.

What’s your source on this? The article I linked isn’t very specific, but perhaps we all (including myself) jumped the gun on this one.

If you really think about it chipped ID’s aren’t necessarily secure, especially if they rely on the chip to provide the security. Any card can be cloned and faked. Read about RFID credit cards and it’s really easy to skim them.

I’m sure my old ARCs used to be paper…

Makes it easier to counterfeit, which suites the nation :slight_smile:

Just got my new ARC in the mail today and it’s the same blue plastic one. Going for my APRC next year. woot woot :discodance:

Maybe they’ll use the same paper as the work permits are printed on
