No sodas, no alcohol & no caffeine challenge. Can you take this challenge?

I quit alcohol for 10 months. Soda & caffeine for more than 1 year.

I quit caffeine 4 years ago but sometimes I have a little chocolate and is bad for my body and mood. I’m hyper sensitive to caffeine. I wish I knew sooner.

When I quit alcohol, my liver was stronger. I took a knee blow in a kickboxing fight and continued. But then I started to drink again when I came to Taiwan because I wanted to try the new beer brands found here.

It´s difficult because alcohol drinks are part of a culture. Same with coffee, I tried Starbucks for the first time. But not fan of caffeine.

Sure. Instead of caffeine, just no coffee or tea.

I need my maté.

No way! I need my 100oz of liquids per day. Probably wouldn’t even be able to handle this if I stayed home all day rather than going out socializing.

Sodas and alcohol I could probably do without for a long time. As I get older, I find soda to be too sweet (though a sparkling water is fine. That’s something I found revolting as a child). Alcohol is something I only drink if I’m with others who are also drinking, so it would be dependent on my social life. Many people I hang out with are not big drinkers. And I’m not a man, so I can get away with not drinking at events for Taiwanese people wherein the goal is for everyone to be completely shitfaced…

Caffeine, however, is not something I could give up. I didn’t start drinking caffeine until well into adulthood and it amazes me how much it helps me focus.

Unlike soda and alcohol, which are literally poison, coffee and tea have actual health benefits, particularly the latter.

Caffiene drug too strong

Soda and alcohol easy to give up

I’ve stopped drinking alcohol again lately. Not that I drank very much but I honestly don’t feel that good after. Sometimes my knees will feel achy after. I actually found some good quality non alcoholic sparkling wine to enjoy that was served on Qatar Airways. It actually tastes pretty good.

I see nothing wrong with diet soda once in a while tbh. My go to is coke 0. It helps me with sugar cravings. And when I go to countries with real cane sugar and has a good taste in the coke, I have a few cans on vacation. Taste so much better with cane sugar.

I make cold brew tea to drink in the morning when I wake up. I actually mix it in with 5g of creatine. Creatine is amazing for athletic performance and mental performance.

It’s probably one of the supplements everyone should be taking with decades of study on its safety and physical/mental benefits. It’s particularly helpful as people get older and older women. A must have if you don’t eat much meat to supplement.

What happened?

The caffiene from tea and matcha have a calming effect while coffees has a more anxious effect so I’ve heard.
