Newsom might not be the greatest of candidates, but do the Republicans have anyone better? That’s the real question. As the entirety of the Republican Party (at least those currently in office), with a few high profile exceptions like Rand Paul and Thomas Massie, have sold their souls to bend over for Daddy Don, they will be heading into 2028 laden down with some hefty baggage. Remember the exact moment when Kamala lost the election:
