NHI Card Monthly Fee

I just got the NHI Card after 6 months stay in Taiwan. However, they never mentioned that I need to pay a monthly fee for the insurance. Will I receive a bill through the mail and pay at FamilyMart?

There are many ways to pay. The convenience store is… convenient but you have to pay a small fee. I use LinePay. No additional fees, just need to scan the QR code on the letter and tap a couple of buttons.

I filled out another form and showed my bank book when applying and now they just take the premium out of my bank account every month. I feel that’s the most convenient way.

can you get a NHI card if you just have a visitor visa? or you came on visa free entry? would be willing to pay a (low) fee
