NHI premium calculator?

Does anyone know if there is a calculator to figure out exactly what the monthly NHI premiums would be?

I don’t know about an actual calculator, but you should be able to find premium tables on the NHI website (or via Google).

So for a person earning under NT$24k will need to pay NT$1200 a month?

Are there family rates or rates for a couple?

Usually the rates in the table are per person. If both partners work, they each pay their own NHI. If only one works, the other is counted as dependent, in which case the employee pays for two people.

Curious also if there is a nice table with everything included. Different work types also have different rates. I used to pay 700ish per month. When I went to aprc and lost my work rights all of a sudden (due to going aprc after a jfrv) it doubled. It would be super useful to see all types displayed clearly in a table format!

Do retired seniors have their own rate? What about those who are very low or no income?

I’m trying to figure out how the NHI works as I’m planning to enroll shortly.

Yes, different groups of society have different rates. What are those rates for ALL groups? I do not know, that’s why I also think a simple table would also be very helpful.

I got changed based on work class and foreigners being banned from said work. Farmers, for example, have it cheaper than office workers, and so on.

I am also interested to see all the different groups and their rates. My intuition is the government isn’t in a big hurry to make it convenient for us to complain :joy:
