No receipt at MWD (My Warm Day) cafe

There is part of the reason why many Taiwanese like to open breakfast shops. No tax. Mostly I think they get sick of working for asshole bosses.

MWD I went twice recently, and this one has receipts. Maybe each one is independent owned and manages as they want?

I don’t remember ever going to MWD but a new one opened convenient for me.

Pancakes, were part of the set, I wanted butter and syrup, they said it’s already mixed in to the batter, hahaha.

They once told me they had no French Toast.

But they had plenty of eggs, butter and bread.

I doubt they have any butter at all. Butter costs more than some unknown hydrogenated oil

yes, it’s a franchise opportunity.

Reminds me of an episode of Hell’s Kitchen. We are out of lobster spaghetti. Do we have lobster? Do we have spaghetti?

An MWD shop near me says they are open regular hours during CNY holiday. Not closing.

I got told at a pizza place that they couldn’t make a cheese pizza.

Large chains have a centralized accounting system where all registers of franchisees are connecting to HQ and cameras are used to count customers.

Maybe they use frozen pizzas as base and it’s got tomato on it already.

Cheese pizza still has sauce… Literally all they would have to do is start making any other pizza (with cheese) and then just stop before adding toppings past cheese.

Not always.

You’re overthinking it.
