Not included in 3000 list

I keep record of all the Mandarin characters I can identify and know the meaning of.

Sometimes I wonder how some common characters were were left out. The second character of 飯糰 (Fàntuán) is an example.

糰 actually doesn’t show up very often outside of the word fantuan, making it a rather rare character. Not surprising it’s not included in the 3,000 (which sounds like an action movie).

The protagonist will kick Doctore Oenomaus off a cliff while screaming “This Is Fan Tuan~~~!”

Don’t you think a list of 3000 words would be more useful than characters? And if you do, could you please suggest a few words that a foreigner should know, esp. foreigners involved in teaching, studying and those involved in technology.

Here’s one. There are others, but most are simplified.

Thank you very much, Ehophi. I’ll dive into it right away!!
