As is the choice to judge. Not pre-judge, mind you, just judge.
On a side note, I work with a good half dozen morbidly obese black women. Their knees are shot, and they need momentum to get out of their chairs, so they rarely sit. When and if Lizzo gets to 50, we’ll see how body affirming she is.
I try not to mock because I know them. They’re good people. But they also don’t go around telling people that their weight is their choice. That said, no one is rude enough to ask. That is the celebrity aspect of being Lizzo. I’ve never heard her sing, so I only know her as the fat rapper chick. That said, with best regards to Leonard Cohen, I don’t think of her that often.
So doctors should and do tell you if you’re overweight or obese. There is no woke mob censoring doctors and if you believe that then that’s another problem.
No I’m saying the doctor did and should do that. That’s their job. BiggusDickus implied that wokeness has gotten so out of hand that doctors can’t say obese. And I called BS.
I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t think any of us do it. Whether that is googling “doctors can’t say obese”, feeding Facebook algorithms by clicking articles, watching YouTube videos, following Twitter feeds. If you’re not living in the West then your only perception is the internet. I’ve already demonstrated doctors aren’t shying away from talking about obesity because…woke.
