Did you read about the one guy who met a girl online and went to the Ukraine and it was all a scam? I think he would up broke and had to go to the US Embassy for help. I am sure one can find the story by doing a Google search.

This is old news and has been going on from Russian area for at least 10 years, it’s been profiled on hour long tv specials, news reports… actually, it’s been going on for hundreds of years with Euro woman looking for a different life in the middle east, western Europe… this should not be a surprise for anyone thats read a little bit of news or studied a little history…

Why not try India? The father gets out of having to pay a dowry, you get a ten-year-old bride that you can train to obey your every command. A win-win situation!
BTW, that video in the OP is from 2006. I found it funny how the British video company focused on how the guys on the tour were Americans (well, except for the ones who weren’t, but the narrator never bothered to point out their nationalities, unlike the Americans’).
How about something more applicable to local Taiwan culture, like the tens of thousands of Vietnamese girls being solicited and married off to Taiwanese men.

Principle destination for Belarussian/Ukrainian girls? I beg to defer. Those girls confusingly drop in, and get out, because they got it going on, and have much better opportunities other places which doesn’t include living with binlang chewing farmers up on a mountain or rice paddy.

I’ve seen them too, but they didn’t appear to be mail-order brides - more sex workers, willingly or not. And while white, tall, and with breasts, most were pretty ugly by Western standards, the reason they were sent to Asia rather than Western Europe, I suppose.
