First off, the media here spreading the rumor that it was a “Taiwanese” temple was a bit shameless if you figure where their “footage” and stills came from.
But in the end, you have to take it for what it is – a shameless attempt to get Taiwanese to go to their temples more often. For the stodgies, clearly this sort of hot blonde action would only happen in a lonely, forgotten temple… for the hornies, clearly the temples are now a magical place where anything might happen!
I’ve struggled to understand why it is that Taiwanese have strippers at weddings and funerals – two occasions that also (as in the West) have some religious overtones. Like the so-called “cargo cults” of the Pacific island dots (including many of Taiwan’s staunch allies like Vanuatu), perhaps the Taiwanese hope that if they imitate the overall appearance of having women getting naked & naughty then perhaps there will be airplanes and ships dropping off lots more naked women.
