If so it is likely one of left wing crack heads from the U.S. that have infiltrated the Taiwan expat community because they cannot get a job on their arts degree at home. You can see them in all places in Taiwan now… online and offline.

Put two and two together, slowly. If the Taiwanese populace were a bit more “woke” maybe Jiu Average would see the benefits for Taiwan in the long term. Taiwanese kids better damn well learn to accept immigrants from Southeast Asia or there won’t be a Taiwan in 50 years.
Most education systems fall short of the mark in terms of useful life lessons.
I recall extensive lessons on how to draw an ellipse using a compass and a ruler. What would have been way more useful to learn at that age is how to know you’re being rejected or just general social cues
Never heard of 4th world, but are these supposed to be ‘bad’ topics to teach? Hope they don’t teach empathy too. So, if ‘woke’ is bad, then asleep (to what is really going on in the world, and not some racist fantasy) is good. If that’s how the majority of humans are going, can’t wait for AI to take over. Yes. One day they’re being taught to be respectful towards immigrants and learning about the culture of the native people of the country, the next they’ll be unionising in the playground and seizing the means of production.
None of these things are “woke.” Caring about the indigenous people who have been so marginalized here or the environment isn’t “woke” and it seems like you’re just looking for stuff to complain about. Get back to us when your kid gets a lecture by a blue haired teacher about the correct use of pronouns.
Sea level rise is an economic and security concern for coastal cities. Not a particularly a woke concerm.

If you want to have a real conversation rather than throw out but whatabouts, the US Navy is seriously concerned about this (being sea going and based at sea level many places, by default) and has been tracking and examining mitigation plans for decades at this point. The naval academy has seen dramatic increases in flooding. Downtown Annapolis sees some flooding almost half the days each year now, up from around a third a decade ago, and a handful per year 50 years ago.
