Online Gambling

Hey guys, I have a question. I know that gambling is illegal in Taiwan and my bank won’t let me fund my virtual account for gambling (texas hold em), so I was wondering if any of you guys have experienced this issue and what did you do to resolve it? Also, most of the online poker sites that are playing for money also do not allow US credit/debit cards. Bank transfers are quite expensive in Taiwan. Paypal is only accepted from a few countries for some of these particular gambling sites. Has anyone ever opened a banking account from another country without actually being in that country? Cheers!

I am not a gambler, but look here

There is a whole new generation of international banks coming
N26, Revolut, Monzo, Leupay… and others I don’t know yet
I am still trying to sign up and create an account. Have a try.

Hi,
I know quite a bit about this topic, and if you are American with the bank cards issue, the most simple way is to bet in Bitcoin. Yes I know it solves all problems  you just need to get familiar with it, if you are not yet.

This website > http://bitly.com/2xSvKPJ offers sports betting and poker (casino). I did bet on sport but never use the casino.

Actually right now he has so many options. If not betting in Bitcoin he can do on the Ethereum network. Here no trust is involved, no accounts. He will never send funds to any 3rd parties, there are no internal database guarded by some anonymous site owners. He will be in total control of his funds! He only needs to send funds directly to a Smart Contract, on the Ethereum blockchain. Then the Smart Contract processes the bet and returns the win directly to his wallet.
He will only have to trust the Smart Contract. This is public, verified code, that lives on the very public Ethereum blockchain. What he needs is a good phone that can hold his ethereum or bitcoin wallets. Such phones he can get them here https://productz.com/en/phones-and-gps

So have you actually used Ethereum to play online poker?

Most online sites have a feature called rakeback, a kind of rewards system designed to engender loyalty to the poker site.

Rakeback would require a deposit into a wallet, not a withdrawal.

Are wallets for Ethereum capable of such a thing? (it may not be much - or any - different from a currency deposit I would make into my wallet to purchase Ethereum, but I’m not sure)

It’s the usual crypto obsessive oversell. You can do anything with Ethereum! You just need to first change it into Bitcoin and then US dollars.

Yes, one could get money onto a poker site using a cryptocurrency but it would have to be via something like Neteller. It would be considerably faster to just put a fiat currency onto Neteller instead.

I’m talking about the major poker sites here, like PokerStars. I’m sure there are some small ones that will take Bitcoin direct. Have fun playing on those.

What I do now is deposit to Neteller. You have to click “I won’t use it for gambling.” Then use that money to purchase an Astropay (virtual) card, then use the Astropay card to deposit.
