Overseas Passport Eligibility

I am a Filipino citizen by birth and have been residing in the Philippines as such for my entire 20 years of life. Discovered recently that my paternal grandmother gave birth to my father while still bearing a valid passport issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taipei back in 1966. As of now, my both my father and grandmother carry solely Philippine passports. However, reading the Nationality Law of the Republic of China, I am interpreting that my father is an ROC National by virtue of descent from his mother (who was an ROC citizen at the time). Father never claimed nor renounced Taiwanese Nationality, so I am assuming that I am de facto Taiwanese National. Anyone care to chime in?

If you were born 20 years ago, then you were born in 1995. So your father would have to have been a father at age 15 or younger for this to work, I thinkā€¦

IIRC your father had to be born after 1980 in order to get ROC nationality. If he was born before then, it was through the father only.
