I’ve just installed the modification that introduces a drop down list for threads with have many pages. When i tried it out, opening a big thread seemed noticably slower for me.
Do you notice any change?
How many is “many?” I just tried opening the porn-making thread (11 pages) and it seemed fine. I didn’t see any drop down thingy though.
11 pages and above will trigger the drop down list - so you are looking at the right kind of thread
it seemed just fine to me. I went to a couple of threads. good
Forumosa is a bit slow for me today. On all threads, not only long ones. Other sites are fine.
Don’t know whether this is related to the pagination thing.
I’ve just installed a template cache that is supposed to speed up the entire forum. The idea is that by caching templates, which are constantly accessed with each page generated, we improve performance

I’ll consider removing the pagination mod to see if it makes a difference. Then again, we don’t have the kind of traffic on the weekend that we do on a Thu or Fri. And we don’t have the search wordmatch table yet.
