Paid Research Study: Understanding Workplace Stress & Emotions
(~1.5 hours | NT$1000| Taipei & Hsinchu)
Who We Are
Myndland is an AI-powered emotional intelligence companion that helps professionals stay calm, self-aware, and effective in high-pressure moments like meetings. Led by Ralph Huang (Project leader, neuroscience researcher) and Abhishek Patil (Research Lead), we’re building tools to help people manage work-related stress before it becomes burnout.
Why This Study?
We’re training AI to recognize emotional patterns during workplace interactions. Your participation helps us understand how people naturally respond to work situations, so we can create better mental health tools for everyone.
What You’ll Do (~1.5 hours)
• Wear a comfortable EEG device
• Complete realistic workplace scenarios - presentations, meetings, problem-solving
• Interact with AI and laptops in natural work situations
• Just be yourself - no acting required!
Compensation
• NT$500 participation payment
• additional NT$500 March recruitment bonus
• Total: NT$1000
• Paid immediately after completion

Requirements:
1. Age 20-60
2. Fluent English (speaking & understanding)
3. No neurological conditions, seizures, or medications
4. Normal/corrected vision
5. Comfortable with technology
