Following in the footsteps of the March 7th Aaron Bushnell memorial in front of the American Institute in Taiwan, @forpeacetaiwan holds another solidarity protest for Palestine.
Protests will voice the following demands:
- Taiwan’s military-industrial complex must stop supplying Israel’s weapons industry.
- Taiwanese corporations must terminate partnerships with Israeli corporations materially involved in mass killings of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza ghetto in plausible breach of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
- Taiwanese corporations must terminate partnerships with Israeli corporations materially involved in the annexation of the West Bank via continuous settlement expansion in flagrant violation of Chapter 1, Article 2 of the Charter of the United Nations and UN Security Council resolution 2334.
- The Legislative Yuan (立法院) must terminate the newly formed “Taiwan-Israel Congressional Friendship Association” (“台灣與以色列國會議員聯誼會”).
