Papa Poulet Rotisserie in Tianmu (CLOSED)

Hello all food fans, I would like to mention that i have recently opened a small rotisserie restaurant called Papa Poulet, here in sunny Tianmu and am trying to get the word out. (I should perhaps state right here that i am neither french or a papa), (or a chicken for that matter) The Place is small and designed for take out although i have one table for four and a small counter with high stools, perfect for what i believe are the coldest beers in Taipei…

My intention is to cater to families around Tianmu, a complete fresh take home meal. For example a whole chicken and 2 or 3 side dishes for around NT600. Because of that my portions are rather large although I will introduce smaller portions for individuals in the future.

Mainly I serve the roasted lemon and rosemary chicken (whole and legs) roast and mash potatoes, a few salads and some smaller snack items, chicken salad wrap and i have started making spicy (pulled) pork buns. Currently I roast a limited amount of chickens everyday at 11.30am and 5.30 pm, so often sell out by 7.30. Customers can call up and pre-order anything from the menu and set a pick up time.

I won’t go on about how delicious everything is (I know it tastes good) but will leave that up to my impartial customers. If you know Tianmu, it is located across the street from Dayeh Tagashimaya, then a block behind. The full address is Zhongzheng Rd, Sec 2, Lane 76 #16-2. (02) 2831-1357

Happy eating,

Chris Bryant,

Papa Poulet CEO/manager/head chef/sous chef/server/waiter/bartender/purchaser/dishwasher/shit cleaner.

Welcome to Forumosa Chris.

Sounds good. What type of beer and salads do you have? Do you stay open later even if you run out of chicken?

Hi elektronisk, i have 2 salads at the moment, a coleslaw that is freshly made and crunchy, and a tomato salad with red wine vinegarette and fresh sweet basil. When prices return to normal i will also have a sweet pepper salad in cider vinegar.
for beers i have grolsh, erdinger (white), eichbaum, kronenburg 1664 and kronenburg blanc. i am also on the lookout for a good bottled cider, hope to add that soon.

When the chickens are all sold out the other items on the menu are usually availble, as is the beer. Generally speaking in the 2 months i have been open by 8 or 9 pm it is time to close, however as long as there are customers i will stay open.

cheers,

chris

Hi and welcome to F.com
Could you post your whole menu with price, Do you have a website?
I will come by Saturday around 11:30 to check out your rosemary chicken.
See you then.
And could you give the address in Chinese?
Thanks

Good luck in Tianmu. It sounds like a good deal.

Oooohhhh…rosemary chicken and bottled cider…:scooby:

Good luck, papapoulet!

It’s refreshing to have someone introduce their establishment the right way on Forumosa.

We get a few "You must check out zender’s fabulous bla bla bla . . . " (from zenders) here.*

Of course, zender would never do this; he is a fine poster that understands posting etiquette. And you can be sure that if you get a PM from zender, that it is OK to new open. (I mean “open now.”)

I will see you within a week, my good man. Sounds like a great meal!
