Yipee, Taidong finally has a good western restaurant.
The chef, Juliana, cut her teeth at Smokey Joes in Gao Xiong, and also has experience in Texas and New Mexico.
The food was pretty good and the serving size was pretty decent. Prices range from 80 NT (Salads-Apps) to 400 NT (Entrees). The pasta is between 150-200 NT.
Jeez, this comes too late! Was in Taidong last Tuesday and - not being familiar with the city - was roaming around to find some place to eat. Finally ended up in a seefood restaurant. Was not bad either. But what you’re describing looks much more tempting. OK, next time then…

BTW, Do they have draft beer? None of the places I asked had draft… :fume:
No drafts yet. In Taidong, the distributors don’t refrigerate the beer, so there is only a 7 day life on the kegs, most places here won’t go through a keg in a week. Only a few nightclubs have it but expensive.
ha ha… nothing against the restaurant, but back in the states I lived in Pasadena, California. And it’s about the least “tex mex” place on earth. Well, maybe Mex. There’s a hell of a lot of Taiwanese people there, though… I might have to visit just to get a picture of the sign.
