So how are you going to link the paypal account to your ESUN bank without a password?

I do have the password for my current Paypal account (where the funds sit that I’m trying to retrieve). This is the account I hope to link to E Sun.

It’s the old account that I haven’t used for years, the one linked to my current US account, that I don’t have the password for. I thought I could access that old Paypal account to delink my US bank account and then link that bank account to my current Paypal account.

Open a new bank account elsewhere then… it isn’t that hard.

I’m happy to report that I opened an account at E Sun Bank and was able to link that account to my Pay Pal account and get the funds (well, in 3 to 5 days).

Wondering if anyone has updated info… A friend sent money to my Paypal account. I’m currently in the US and while I still have a US account I don’t have an ATM card for it anymore. It seems that I can use ESun Bank in Taiwan to open an account to access the funds. I set up an E.sun account to receive payments from Paypal, but I noticed my e.sun bank book has my name formatted last name, then middle, then first.

But Paypal has the usual name order, first, middle, last. Did you have the same thing, and did it cause any issues for you? Thanks

(I just noticed my paypal email is linked the app so that may be a good sign.)

I’m not sure but I never had an issue, but they typically want the names to match your passport name if in English. But you don’t withdraw through PayPal but through e sun banking app or website (weird I know)

My E Sun bankbook has my surname listed first as well, but it didn’t cause any problems with receiving the Paypal payment. I’ve only ever done this type of transaction once, and that was four years ago, so YMMV.

I checked the PayPal settings, your name is separated on the back end (surname, givenname) so I really don’t think your name order will be an issue if all it did was flip your surname.

Can you open a PayPal business account. I see that PayPal now accept US banks only for business accounts . It used to accept UK banks. If you’re with E Sun is there a way around this? The business account is really useful for international E commerce.
