Perfect day - Taipei

Without going into too many details, old Tom has to show a Japanese woman around Taipei next Saturday. Where would you go on a perfect day in Taipei? I needs me some answers!!!

“What places in and around Taipei would you show to visitors?”

The Hyatt Regency? :smiling_imp:

What sort of perfect day are you after - is this showing a business guest around, friend or family, or more personal?

Partner of 5 years. Split for the last 4. OUCH. No more boning jokes JDSmith!

There are no bones in this post.

Why don’t you just say, “I’ve got a sure thing lined up and be happy about it?”

:bravo:

In addition to the thread I linked to above, have a look at this post and the ones below it;

The only sure thing I got is a door to the past. Opening for one day only. I have no desire to be anything other than a gentleman, MrSmith!

Hopefully my past life will be able to give some insight into my present. (Thats too deep for a Monday.)

Thankyou Joesax for doing what I am too incredibly stupid and lazy to do - perform a search. I appreciate the links.

I see your point: It’s not good to get your hopes up.
Thakyou Joesax…
You’re welcome Tom. Hope you do have a perfect day or at least a very good one.

Perfect Day?

That could be dangerous man, a perfect day with an ex. The cogs may start turning again :stuck_out_tongue:

Go for something slightly less than perfect.

Perfect would involve not getting caught.

I went to this dumpling place somewhere by Daan Park. I don’t remember the name, but I heard that Japanese tourists are lining up for this place. And yes, their dumplings were the best I had so far.

That would be Ding Tai Fung.

12:00 2 neighbours are arguing
1:13 am: the people on the second floor start doing their laundry
2:32 am: they finish doing their laundry
2:38 am: three drunk guys are singing on the street
3:22 am: car accident, police and ambulance arrive
4:05 am: the people on the first floor start doing their dishes
4:24 am: alarm of the neighbour next door
4:28 am: alarm rings again
4:32 am: alarm rings for the third time (probably uses a snooze).
4:36 am: the dog starts barking at the alarm (fourth time)
5:00 am: kid jumping on the stairs
5:12 am: motorcycles starting
5:31 am: singing cats
5:33 am: a friendly neighbour throws some items at the singing cats
5:48 am: neighbour’s doorbell rings
7:00 am: time for the kids to get up
8:00 am: kids go to school

Isn’t Taipei a perfect, lovely city?

Hmm, pleanty of catching up, I’d suggest somewhere relatively quiet where you could sit, talk and soak up some nice ambience. A teahouse in Mucha, a restaurant with a spa . . . in . . . oiks, what’s that old Japanese spa place in the mountains called? Beitou? Or a trip to Wulai which could also incoorprate a nice spa . . . if circumstances lent themselves to such an occasion, of course.

So in a nutchell, Mucha, Beitou or Wulai.
