Pet safe ways to get rid of fleas from environment

My cat has fleas… and it’s all over me as well.

What’s a safe way to disinfect it from the house?

How do I make the flea flee?

Is Diatomaceous Earth useful?

First of all, you need to quarantine your cat to prevent your cat from spreading fleas elsewhere in your house.

Second, move to a hotel for a few days.

Third, call a exterminator to bug bomb your house. It should kill everything in your house, roaches, spiders, fleas, etc.

Meanwhile get some flea shampoo and bathe your cat in it. Or get a pet shop to do it. But make sure they know your cat has fleas.

For your fleas, take a bath and soak in the water for a good 30 minutes or more and drown those bloodsuckers.

I don’t think I can afford this.

This would cost more than I make in a month.

Here’s a low budget solution:

Bug bombs are cheap, you can do it yourself, just leave home for a few hours.

The cat you’ll need something from the pet shop, do that at the same time as the bug bombing.

Flea trap: a plate with a sliver of water and soap, dishsoap. Trust me.

Flea containment: Vacuum cleaner. You see dust, it is actually their eggs. All corners.

It would be better to have the cat given a bath, but for the time being, a wet cloth is OK. When his system gets rid of the chemicals from the flea collar, you can apply more effective treatment.

NO PEST BUGS. That will kill the cat. It is insidious and accumulates in their liver. Any kind of chemical pesticide is a no no.

Incidentally, this also works as a fruit fly trap.
