Phlegm stuck in the throat advice?

Hi.

A few of us at work often have Phlegm stuck in our throat for months at end.
It’s not mucas or anything that is spat out. More of an irritation & we often have to constantly cough to clear our throat esp when talking.
A whole bunch of doctors say various reasons mostly due to allergies.
None of us have been successful with different meds.

Has anyone Experienced this and can give advice. ?

Thank you.

Happened to me when I moved back last year. I’d guess it was New Taipei City air pollution.

Now, I live in the SE corner near Taitung. No problem at all.

Might help to regularly gargle with salt water.
Or get a tin of this Japanese powder. A little expensive but quite effective for many throat conditions.
It’s been around like a hundred years. I always keep it in the house.
Any pharmacy will have it.

 Good one.
But been using it since the early 80s in Korea.
Different tin though.

Check the temp., humidity and condition of the aircon system at work.

I know you said docs, but have you been to a good ENT clinic?

It could be a symptom of GERD.

Thx for the tips guys.

Funny enough I have GERD and just about everything is a symptom of GERD. Thx.

Avoid beers and stick to whisky and other spirits instead. No ice.

Could be a bunch of reasons from pollution to allergies to simply just accidentally inhaling water. It’s annoying as heck but unfortunately not a whole lot can be done about it.

I think musinex type medication do help in clearing up throat mucus which might cut down on the irritations that cause you to cough all the time. I hate coughing because everyone starts getting scared like you have COVID or something, even if the coughing is the result of allergies.
