I’ve always been into cars and the variety of car cultures out there.
Figured I’d start this thread to get a compilation of cars from Taiwan - custom cars, brands/models you’ve never seen, or anything you like/find interesting.
Be respectful, no ragging on custom cars you don’t like. To each their own.
Anyways, would love to see what all is out there in Taiwan, please share!
A bunch of Hippie vans parked outside my shop, being used as meal carts…
I mean it looks like a hippie van, or at least a Taiwanese clone of one.
There are some cool ones around here. But its probably more tame here because the government does control a lot of car modifications. Not aesthetics, but given 6 month inspections and everything being registered its hard to go crazy compared to other countries.
My favorites are either mountain work vehicles or temple vehicles. Both of which the government tends not to mess with
Before when street racing was bigger, there were some cool rice rockets around. That seems to have mostly evaporated now though. At least where i live.
Demon love child of a WRX and Ford pick up truck?
That’s pretty cool.
Does kill the scene to a large extent.
Still see the occasional unusual (for Taiwan) vehicle on the road but few and far between.
Of course there’s always the idiots with boy racer exhausts and dumb numberplate surrounds, this one is worse than most due to the thought that someone must have put into it…
So let it be written, so let it be done.
Absolutely gorgeous! Always been a fan of wide white walls and spoked rims. Nothing like a Fleetwood. I’ve actually only seen 4 cadillacs since I’ve been in Taiwan.
Haaha not sure but its pretty rad! I like the “smoke stacks” out the back
I’ve seen a couple of these customized as food trucks.
They even add a nice touch with their windshield sun shade!
Ya those small vans are alwas food and drink related. All the ones ive seen or friends have bought are just bondo junk and fall apart in 10 years.
That caddy is cool. I bet most dont realize here the cost of getting and maintainjng that is probably more than a mod range bmw type thing.
Probably a good note just for safety, respect and liability. If we are photographing peoples cars, should blur the license plates and anyone face. A lot of taiwanese care a great deal about that. I dont disagree.
Bit of a sleeper
Not generally a fan, but this was actually quite nice IRL
Not really following the last 2.
Waiting for the post you got beat up for photographing peoples cars and your custom cast haha.
Seriously though, although its all in good fun, many people do get quite upset taking pics wih their license plate and sharing online. Its innocent, but have seen more than a few people get served over this over the years.
Especially mountain vehicles.
