Compared to the current system that isn’t political. She’s arguing, and rightly so in my opinion that dumbing down Fed policy to the level congressman can understand is a grave mistake. That’s what the Fed is there for, to interpret and manage what the vast majority of people can’t. Not just anybody can get those jobs. Introducing nonsensical rules will just make an already difficult job even harder.
