I don’t know why I do this, I guess numbers fascinate me sometimes. Plus it’s a Sunday afternoon and I’m bored.
I noted one particular member (to remain nameless) joined about 1000 days ago and has had over 8100 posts, over 8 per day for the last 3+ years. That seems incredible to me.
I’ve seen this on other forums too, almost like some folks live their life here. I don’t know if psychologists would classify that as an addiction, but it’s gotta be something like that.
I’ve knocked out 4.5k posts in 18 months, so I think I’m beating your nameless poster.
I’m not addicted, more like multitasking or filling empty spaces in time.
I can quit anytime I want.

I used to post on a comic book forum (what can I say? I’m a closet geek), and there was one dude who would pump out about 70-80 posts a day. Yeah, almost a hundred a day. There were a few… special … posters at that place that gave a whole new meaning to the word “obsessed.”
I think it is hard for people to socialize nowadays. There are always two excuses “No money” or “No time”. Social media is fast to debate. You don’t need to leave your home, spend money and it is convenient.

I poop twice a day. I am glad because I had constipation about 2 years ago. Sometimes, I wouldn’t poop for 3 days. I am sure this caused me some health problems and I am still dealing with it.
You could have been pooping 8 times a day for the past 3 years. That would make you a poop addict.
So, things could be worse.

When I was serving mandatory military service in an mp training camp in Taishan, many of our fellow brothers didn’t poop for a week due to psychological reasons.
Over-excitement? Counts as an accident in my view.
