Posting English and Chinese passages side by side in columns

[col]Hi LC posters! Our administrator Goose Egg has just installed a new BBCode button, “col” which will enable you to post text in two columns side by side. I thought this might be particularly useful to LC posters, for putting Chinese and English passages next to each other when posting.|Simply type your text as two paragraphs, for instance, separating them with the vertical bar "|" on your keyboard. Select the entire block of two paragraphs, and hit the “col” button.[/col]

For example:

[col]Hello|你好[/col] [col]Good morning|早安[/col] [col]Thank you|謝謝[col]The above will look like:

[col]Hello|你好[/col]
[col]Good morning|早安[/col]
[col]Thank you|謝謝[/col]

Using a separate col for each block will make sure they stay lined up, and you can use uneven lines on each side and the blocks stay lined up.

[col]Hello|你好 我愛你[/col] [col]Good morning|早安[/col] [col]Thank you|謝謝 這位先生會清單[/col] [col]Is this a tobacconist?|我的氣墊船裝滿了鱔魚[/col] [col]Leave me alone!|不要打擾我![/col]Will produce
