Power bank recommendations in Taiwan

I plugged in my power bank (which I use for both my phone and laptop) to recharge, and I noticed it was starting to bulge.

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable brand and model for a power bank? I’ve heard that some brands use low-quality batteries and often don’t include proper protection circuits (overcharge, overheat, short-circuit, etc.).

Also, does anyone know where in Taipei I can safely dispose of my defective power bank?

Anker from Syntrend or Shopee. I haven’t had a single one explode on me yet.

I use power sockets. Haven’t had any explode on me yet, despite the sometimes adventurous wiring in Taiwan.
