Proper educational incentives

I think that the candy dished out by teachers ain’t goinng to cut it with today’s youngsters. Check out these incentives for memorising and reciting the Qur’an:

I reckon that I’d have put in the hours of practice if those had been the incentives when I was a lad.

My dad incentivized learning by giving me $1 for every A, nothing for a B and charged me $1 for a C or below. Worked for me. I got all A’s through high school. That was 30+ years ago, though. Not sure about today’s kids.

Gotta love them Islamic fundamentalist types.

Not as good as last year. They got a landmine then. Now it’s just a couple of poxy hand grenades. The AK47s are always worth it, though.

I think it’s a great idea. Don’t give them anything with long range capabilities, but what’s not to love about giving Islamic fundamentalists small arms, especially explosives? There’s a real likelihood that they’ll accidentally kill themselves or use them in a heated argument with another fundamentalist. Sounds like a great plan. The U.S., U.K. and all other major arms manufacturing nations should get on board with this incentive scheme. That’s how you win the War on Terror right there.
