How come teachers in the UK just have to give half a term notice to quit (6weeks) but teachers in Taiwan can only quit at one time a year? And none of the other teachers go on about how it makes them look bad.
How come teachers in Taiwan have to sign a new contract every year and it isn’t just an ongoing contract? Is it so teachers are locked in?
If you are(you are) one of those English teachers that go from class to class and only have contact with the same students once a week, I think they will get over you quitting and someone else coming in.
