Is Chunghwa Telecom (Emome) the best recommended service to get a prepaid SIM Card for iphone 5s at the airport?

Does it take awhile for the phone to activate?

Are refill plans easy to come by in Taipei?

Also curious, I have a friend picking me up at the airport that I use LINE to stay connected with. Would I still be able to contact them once I land just using the airports Wifi even if I don’t have a SIM Card?

For the wifi, yes. For the sim cards, they definitely sell them at TPE, but I don’t know the details.

mine got activated at the chunghwa store itself after he processed passport and asked me to sign a form.
