I believe the US does own half that bridg, even though Canada paid for it?
I have read articles saying Canada owns both and others saying shared ownership. Well, seems that Canada paid for all and is still making annual payments for land used in Michigan. Can’t nail down how much U.S. contributed financially. But seems complicated but that is understandable considering the scale. I read about this bridge two years ago…which as good article talking about how Canadian politicians really had to fight to get this project approved…and how Michigan said they could not afford the project. Anyway, probably need somebody from Michigan or Canada for insight. I just was interested because I think more projects like this should happen with Mexico.
