I used to use winamp to play music, and really liked it. But for some reason it doesn’t work on my desktop. It plays, but the output sounds like there are socks stuffed into all six speakers. Bloody awful.
So now I’m using Media Player, and there’s something that is really bugging me. I have it running whenever I’m home, and it’s supposed to randomly pick tunes from a list of 2500 or so. But I regularly hear the same track twice in an hour or two. What’s going on? I know that computers can’t generate true random numbers, but surely it could do better than that?
