Recommend a good rain jacket / pants combo

The rubber sealant in my beloved McKinley rain jacket has decayed to the point of uselessness, so before I pay to import another, can anyone recommend a good, not too expensive, hopefully breathable rain jacket that would be good for both hiking and cycling? Pants would be great as well. It needs to be lightweight and easy to move around in as I’m on and off my bike a lot. And I sweat a lot.
Decathlon is probably out of my price range, which is below $2,000. Hopefully well below.

“Candy Oiler” leisure wear.

Accept no substitutes.

I assume that’s a joke. I’m looking for something similar to this:

But I’m not at all familiar with the quality or durability of products locally sold. I’ll pay Decathlon or Northface prices if I have to, though not this month and I need it soon.

Is this a waterproof layer, or a seam? Because you could use tent seam sealer on a seam…

I was going to suggest Decathlon. Tough to beat them in price and quality. Worth splurging a bit or looking to second hand on FB or Shopee?

Can look at Bicycle Line

This place sells it:

Bought my first ever foldable rain jacket from her and still have it, in great condition…but doesn’t get much use.

Oh man. That’s the place with replica kits going back to 2006. Well worth a visit.

I guess you’d call it a seam with a rubber or rubberized strip sewn into it to seal it.

The sealant isn’t the issue. It’s not leaking, the jacket is just unusable and needs to be replaced.
