Recommendation: OBSIDIAN. For organizing your mind. It's free

I would like to recommend this app called Obsidian which I’ve been using to write and calm myself down but also for organizing my notes or things I am interested about, current projects, future plans, to do lists and so on.
I wish it had existed back then when I was at university.
Also to write a diary is really great.

Just write a note, meaning plain text, if you want to connect something in that note with another note, you put that inside square brackets and it creates a link. It’s like you transform your notes and thoughts into a private internet. You can add pictures, links to websites, embed videos and so on. And there is a graph where you can see all the notes and the connections, you can use it to navigate your mind, so to speak.

Here one of the many videos in which somebody explains what it is and what you can do with it. It’s just 6 minutes long. A good investment. Just watch the video. Actually just 5 minutes, the last minute is adds.
