If so, what software do you recommend for doing it?

The free online version limited to 30s recordings. Find or buy a key to upgrade. The Professional version allows you to chop streams into segments.So you could record the whole Solomon Burke album then cut the recording into individual tracks.
If you have a soundblaster card, creative recorder let’s you choose an option… Record what you hear. I’ve use it briefly and it works pretty well.
